On second trip to Borneo we captured animals and plants also scenery. We climbed Mt Kinabalu, went to Kinabatangan river and adventure caving in Mulu National Park. This collection was our dedication to the earth -place where we lives. What a beautiful place !

Tjoe here's the answer : 1. We are only photography hobbyist. Never take any formal education. We learnt from books, see other people photos and practises. 2. Hmm we think about going to pro. But we are still love our job apart from chasing animals 3. Nups.... 4. We are Nikon mania. Mark uses D200 and mine D70. The lenses quite variable from macro to tele.
In this album, Mark did a lot work with animal, while I am prefer the safest way : landscape and plants.

Thanks Bery. We took pictures in RAW format which is in Nikon called NEF. It's bit like negative film, so is up to you to develop it. We tried not too much manipulation as we don't like playing with softwares. For the camera we already mention above (Nikon).

We carried two bodies: D200 and D70. Borneo Revisited actually second visit for D70. For D200 that was it's first outdoor assignment (ups just like the pro). We are very pleased with D70 robust in these vulnerable environments such in the junggle, mountain, and caves. We actually abused those poor cameras.....

Most of these pictures taken with medium range lens. The macro lens we had so slow, couldn't match with animal movement. Such as the giant ant : we took many pictures but only one two are really good. Another sample is the snake ; we didn't dare to get really close to this vicious animal as the guide told us that the yellow snake got quite powerful venom.
hi, you seem to love animals... you can help bears from Romania by voting for this organization that is building a sanctuary for them: http://www.vote4cause.org/cause.php?id=34 vote as many times as you want! it's free! and no need to register! Note that the amount of the donation will depend on the number of votes and, above all, on the number of unique visitors so if you know someone who cares for this cause tell him/her to vote!!! Voting for this round ends December 31 2007, 11:59 PM
